On a personal note... The newest member of our family would like to introduce himself. My son (Stuart) and daughter-in-law (Laura)
have a beautiful new nephew who's been grabbing all the love and attention around him. He's Ian Wesley Poole and was born at 12:04 AM on 1/11/03
weighing in at 8 pounds, 10 oz.
It seems that now that he's 5 weeks old and posing for all sorts of photos, he wanted to say hello to
all of you. He's starting his life right with parents (Pastor Wesley Poole and wife Christine) and family who will not be drowning him in sugar. What a lucky baby!
Okay, personal note over... thanks for endulging me.

Our product review team features two (2) "Products Of The
Month" one in each issue of our

innovative, healthy, tasty, and/or helpful to the low-carber's daily dietary regime.
Vacu Vin Vacuum
Instant Marinater
A couple of months ago, I was having dinner guests for a meal I thought I'd planned out well
ahead of time. What had I forgotten? To marinate the meat. An important step that made all the difference.
And with the hectic schedule I keep between "real life work", work on Low Carb Luxury, and volunteer
and writing commitments, it's not the first time it had happened.
One of our review team members (thank you, Karen) recommended this product to me that day and I've used
it ever since. Using it again this last weekend, it occured to me that this valuable time saver should
really be a "Product of the Month"! I hope it can be the time saver for you that it has been for me.
The Vacu Vin Vacuum Instant Marinater is just what it sounds like... it quickly marinates meats or vegetables,
so you have the flavorful meal you planned for in 5 minutes to an hour as opposed to needing to marinate
overnight! Just place your meat and marinade inside the dish, close the lid tightly, insert
the pump and pull the air out. As you do, the meat instantly soaks-in the marinade as the dish seals in freshness.
Within minutes, your meat will be ready for grilling, roasting, broiling, etc.
It's been recommended by 'The Cooking Club of America', and is also used by a great number of America's top
cooking schools as the quickest and best way of preparing flavorful, tender and juicy food quickly. (Yes,
it also tenderizes the meat!) You can use it to marinate steaks, chops, chicken breasts
(or a great batch of wings!), roasts, and of course vegetables.
The vacuum dish can also be used to vacuum store foods in the refrigerator. It's flat and compact, so it fits
in the fridge nicely. It will hold 6 to 8 chicken breasts, a moderate size roast, or about 30 chicken wings.
If you want to be able to do LOTS (like for parties), pick up two. They're very inexpensive and they stack
on one another!
It's microwave safe too, so you can prepare vegetables, meat, soak and rehydrate dried fruits or veggies, freeze
or steam anything. And the dish is great for serving in too. We highly recommend the Vacu Vin Vacuum Instant Marinater!
